Because I'm 14 this year and just went vegan, my mom is not supportive AT ALL(lol) because she was convinced that teenagers must get 250g of meat every single day and I want to show her day I can get enough nutrients everyday for my age, how can I know how much nutrients I need and how to measure?? Xoxo
You can use chronometer.com, it’s really easy and at the end of the day you can check how many calories you had, and how much nutrients you had, I don’t personally do it because I just don’t worry about it. Actually since I’m vegan there is so much more variety in my diet, I eat a lot more legumes, spices, superfoods… i make sure I eat lentils, chickpeas, beans, and a lot of carbs every week. Variety is the key! and I’m pretty sure I’m getting more nutrients than before. You need to educate your mom and show her that meat isn’t necessary at all for your health, and pretty dangerous. Look at dr Neal Barnard, dr mcdougall (on youtube there is a lot of speeches aout it), fullyrawkristina and nutrition.org to get some good health info! And make sure your eating plenty to show your parents you are eating enough!
